Regional Land Use Advisory Commission Meeting – briefing from Fort Bragg Garrison re: Construction Update

The Fort Bragg Garrison briefed the RLUPAC on new and ongoing construction on Fort Bragg. The following information is from the report.

Fort Bragg has 50,350 troops and 14,500 civilians working on the post. The post supports a population of roughly 140,200, including the military, their families, Department of Army civilians, and contractors. Fort Bragg has almost 10 percent of all army forces assigned to the installation.

There are over 146,000 acres of training area, 5,000 facilities totaling more than 54,900,000 SF.

New Campus Projects:
Language & Culture Center = $64.7 million
Training Group Headquarter = $48.1 million
Human Performance – $15.3 million
Advanced Skills Training Center – $28.8 million

Future Construction:
Shoppette w/dining and diesel (retail store, snack bar, restaurant, beverage store, fuel) = $8,884,733
Express Gas Patriot Point (retail, fast food, beverage store = $6,905,700
Freedom Crossing Entertainment Complex (movie theater, retail, food)
