What Happened:  The following rezonings were approved unanimously.

  • The rezoning of 3 acres from Planned Industrial/Conditional Use Overlay for manufactured home sales and Planned Industrial to M(P) Planned Industrial.  The property is located at 2965 Gillespie Street and on the east side of Gillespie Street, southwest of Airport Road.  The application was submitted by Stephen Wheeler and Carla Emmons on behalf of Emmons & Wheeler LLC, and John Tyson on behalf of Cedar Creek Crossing West LLC.
  • The rezoning of 5.38 acres from Heavy Commercial/Conditional Use Overlay for outside storage and Rural Residential to Planned Commercial/Conditional Zoning district for a motor vehicle repair and outside storage.  The property is located at 3427 Clinton Road and is owned by Stephen Ledwell and Andy Nichols.
  • The rezoning of 3.66 acres from Agricultural to Planned Commercial for property located at 5208 NC HWY 87 South and on the west side of NC HWY 87 South.  The owners are Betty Walters and Uta Belletete.
